How marchers learn

Marchers learn best when they are motivated and challenged, carry out activities in a real context and are successful.

Marchers learn in different ways, the following is a brief overview of the different types of learns you might encounter; 

 

Visual

This type of learner learns best by seeing the aspect being taught, it might be that you need to draw a diagram or other visual aids to assist in their learning.

 

Auditory

They learn best by hearing, such as you will need to explain to them what you expect them to do and help develop and understanding by asking questions.

 

Read/Write

They learn best by reading information and taking notes, to help with this you could draw diagrams, write on a whiteboard, and let them take notes of key points.

 

Kinesthetic

This type of learner learns best by doing the thing you're wanting taught, them them have a go at what you are trying to do and highlight things they did well and could improve on for next time

 

Multi Modal

Finally, this type of learner uses a variety of 'senses', you could show them a DVD, then discuss key points and use various aspects from other sorts of learners to find what works best for them
